Mutsy originally started out as Mutsaerts and has been in business since 1937. It is a Dutch company and is a long time sponsor of Casa Materna – a birthing center in Nicaragua. The company started selling in the USA in 2007.
This has to be one of the best strollers we have ever tested. It is a very stylish stroller and very, very practical. The seat is reversible and reclines totally flat. Ideal for newborns but can also carry a child weighing up to 50 pounds. The seat has an adjustable footrest. It is sometimes difficult to find a stroller that folds easily but this one does. The front wheels can swivel or lock into position. Newborn babies can be put in the bassinet or the seat can be adjusted to accommodate them.

Mutsy Evo Reviews and Features
This is one of the easiest stroller to push and to steer. One handed steering is easy, allowing you to use your free hand for other things. The rear wheels are 11″ and the from wheels are 9″ and they seem to be perfect. If you are going over router terrain or soft ground, the front wheels can be locked and this helps prevent them from digging in and making the stroller unstable. For normal use on paved surfaces, the front wheels are left unlocked and they can swivel 360 degrees. We loved the ease of steering on the Evo.
Folding is really easy in the Evo however it is a multi-step process. Once you have done this a few times you will find that it is very quick and easy. It folds to a compact size. Unlike most other strollers that can be folded with the seat attached, the Evo can be folded with the seat facing forward or backward. When folded, it locks into position and there is a very convenient carry handle which makes it very easy to pick up. A lot of thought has gone into this.
The bassinet is sold separately. The seat on the Evo Stroller is capable of holding a child weighing up to 50 pounds which is one of the best on the market today. It has a removable and adjustable bumper bar. There is a 5-point safety harness that is easily adjustable to accommodate a toddler or a 3 year old and the buckle is really easy to fasten. The Mutsy Evo seat can be reclined using only one hand and can be reclined to a fully flat position. This allows the seat to accommodate a newborn baby. The footrest is adjustable and has so many adjustments that the seat can be almost converted into a bassinet when the footrest is tilted up and secured to the bumper bar. The stroller is compatible with Graco and Maxi Cosi car seats if you purchase the appropriate adapter and this converts your Mutsy Evo Stroller into a Mutsy travel system.
The canopy is large and can be made even bigger by unzipping a zipper in the hood and pulling the canopy forward more. Like other Mutsy canopies, there is a viewing window built into the canopy and this also provides good ventilation in hot climates. The only drawback with the canopy is the size. When the seat is fully reclined, it is just not large enough to provide proper shade to your baby.
We liked the cargo area in the Evo as it was flexible and it was a decent size. Unlike some other Mutsys, it was easier to access. It will easily hold a large diaper bag.
The rear wheels are 11″ and the front wheels are 9″. The tires are solid and made from some sort of synthetic rubber which means that you can never get a puncture. Sometimes this can lead to a bumpier ride but not in the Evo as the frame suspension provides more than enough comfort for baby. The front wheels can swivel or be locked into position. Locking them into position is very useful if you are going on the beach or on soft or uneven ground but they are better left unlocked when traveling over paved surfaces. Mutsy have got the balance of wheel size, wheel material and suspension just right on this stroller.
The handlebar has a leatherette covering. It is height adjustable but unlike other strollers it is not telescopic. There is a hinge that allows the handlebar to bend up or down and this raises or lowers the handlebar. The handlebar can be adjusted anywhere inside a range from 33″ to 44″ above the ground.
Like the Mutsy 4Rider Next, the brakes are foot operated. The brakes are operated by pressing a pedal with your foot and released by placing your toe under the pedal to flick it up again. It works fine but I do not like this type of brake as it will scuff new shoes.
Where to Buy
I recommend buying the Mutsy Evo from Pish Posh Baby on this link.

The Mutsy Evo Stroller is available in 6 colors in Europe but only 4 colors in the USA. Black, brown, navy and white. This stroller really impressed us and we would recommend it to anyone. It does everything well. It is maneuverable and easy to push. It looks great. Totally practical and very, very adaptable to suit newborns, toddlers and more grown up children. As luxury strollers go, the Evo is at the cheaper end and it does everything as well as (if not better than) the more expensive strollers. A lot of thought has gone into this stroller and it shows.
