Basics
The 4moms Origami is a very innovative baby stroller and retails for approximately $850. It is not designed for newborn babies but instead for 6 month old toddlers upwards (up to 40 pounds).
The stroller has its own built in generators that charge batteries. These batteries provide power for folding and unfolding and it is literally a hands free process. I have never seen anything quite like it. There is also a digital display for the stroller user to see speed, distance, temperature etc. Another feature that I really like are the built in lights on the stroller frame.

4moms Origami Reviews and Features
Maneuverability
This stroller is designed for city streets and it is extremely easy to push and steer. The suspension is great and gives a really comfortable ride. The rear wheels are wide enough to ensure the stroller is stable and this has the added bonus of ensuring that you never hit your feet on the stroller frame while walking.
Electronic Display
This is the first stroller that I have seen with a digital display. If you like gadgets (and I do) then you will love this feature. The display will show you how far you have walked, temperature, speed and battery condition. I love this type of display.
Frame
The stroller frame is very well designed and its main feature is the powered folding and unfolding. This is done with electric motors and it folds in all directions. The fold is operated by a push button and a twist knob.. The battery that supplies all electrical power is charged by little generators built into the rear wheels and the battery should rarely (if ever) need to be charged by external means. If you decide to purchase a car seat adapter, you can use a Graco car seat and the stroller now becomes a travel system.
The frame has lights built into it. There are two front lights built into the front wheel supports which make the stroller very visible. There are also two smaller lights on the lower frame that turn on automatically when it gets dark. These light up the pavement in front of you in low light conditions.
There are no pinch points in the frame so little fingers will not accidentally get caught in anything.
When folded, The stroller can be pulled along (like a small suitcase) on small wheels located on the underside of the frame.
However the stroller is heavy and if you have a bad back, it will be difficult to handle when carrying up stairs or transferring into and out of your car.
Folding
The folding and unfolding of the Origami is like no other stroller that I have ever seen. It is a totally self powered and it folds in all 3 dimensions. Folding is achieved by pressing and turning a button. This is a very convenient feature and one that any parent will love.
Seat
The seat is adjustable and is perfectly designed for the age and weight range but there is a 40 pound weight limit. The seat and canopy is lined with a reflective piping that really improves visibility in the dark. A sensor detects if a baby is in the seat and shows this on the digital display. In my opinion this is a gimmick and not of any practical use.
Canopy
The canopy is one of the best that I have used. It will protect your baby from the harmful effects of UVA and UVB. It is fully adjustable and will protect your baby from the sun even when the sun is low.
The canopy operation is simple and silent which means that you are less likely to waken your baby if it is sleeping.
Shopping Space
One of the things that I am disappointed with is the size of the shopping bag. This is unusually small and it is difficult to access. If you purchase the optional cell phone charging kit, there will be a small bag that can hang from the handle bar. This is very handy for storing your cell phone while walking.

Summary
This stroller is designed with safety in mind. It is designed to be seen. I found that everyone could see me. This stroller really draws attention to itself and you will be inundated with other parents coming up to you and asking you about the stroller. I loved the folding and unfolding mechanism and the small size when folded.
This is a quality product and it is very well designed and engineered. I did not like the small cargo space and it is also a heavy stroller. It would be better if it had a 50 pound weight limit.
Overall I loved this stroller but at $850 it is not cheap. With all of the features on this model, it is still cheaper than the Stokke Xplory and if you like attention, then this is the stroller for you.
